In this post I will show you how to install Kali Linux Tools in Ubuntu 18.04 LXD Containers.

Create your Kali Linux Tools container with macvlan.

lxc launch --profile default --profile macvlan ubuntu:18.04 LC-KL-01 --target lxd-1
lxc config set LC-KL-01 volatile.eth0.hwaddr 00:00:00:00

Login to your container:

lxc exec LC-KL-01 bash

Update your container:

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y

Install Python and Git:

apt-get install python git

Install Katoolin:

git clone https://github.com/LionSec/katoolin.git && cp katoolin/katoolin.py /usr/bin/katoolin

Make the file executable:

chmod +x /usr/bin/katoolin

Launch Katoolin:

sudo katoolin

Type two times 1 to add the kali linux repositories to Ubuntu 18.04.

After this type 2 to update the repositories.

Type back to go to the previous Katoolin menu or type gohome to go to the main menu.

Choose 2 in the main menu to list all of the available Kali Linux Tools categories and install some tools.

After installing the Kali Linux Tools, go back to home with gohome and press 1 & 3 to disable the Kali Linux repository to avoid problems with updates.

Press CTRL + C to exit.

And… that’s all!
